Introduction Importance of Colour Power of Colour Choosing Colour Schemes Curtain Terms Choosing your Curtains
Colour is an "instant" way to make things happen to a room and colour, as such, costs almost nothing. It is just a matter of choosing those shades and hues which best "express" your style and creates the atmosphere you like.

In the main, colour schemes can be.....
Harmonious The arrangement of two or more colours in their natural order..ie. yellow, yellow-green, green.
Discordant Adds brilliance or emphasis in small quantities, but is garish in large areas...ie. orange and purple.
Contrasting Opposites on the colour wheel...ie. red and green.
Complementary Opposites on the colour wheel, but not directly opposing....ie. orange - yellow and blue.
Achromatic Harmonies using only neutral colours. The harmony may be composed of black and white or any tint between them ( greys ).
